Update – 23/03/20
Cinnamon Care Collection has an evolving contingency plan in response to the coronavirus outbreak and in line with Public Health England we are following their advice to minimise the spread of the infection. Our top priority remains maintaining the health and well-being of our residents, team members and the wider community.
In response to the updated Government guidelines around social distancing for people aged 70 or over, Cinnamon Care Collection have taken the difficult decision to close our doors to all visitors until further notice. As always, the health and well-being of our residents, teams and the wider community are at the forefront of our thoughts and actions and we hope that everyone will support this difficult decision. Necessary visits by healthcare professionals will continue as normal.
We would encourage families to keep in contact by phone and video conferencing and controlled visits in exceptional circumstances may be considered. In the first instance please contact the General Manager at the Home and if agreed then we will adhere to the visiting protocol below.
Visits in exceptional circumstances
Before entry to the home, we will screen every visitor on arrival, take their body temperature, advise them to follow our hand washing protocol and ensure they have no symptoms.
We are working closely with our local hospitals and NHS and are very much aware there are individuals within our local community who may now be vulnerable because of self-isolation. We are presently still able to take new admissions and if you feel that a loved one could benefit from this type of environment, taking the stress of self-isolation away, then in the first instance please call our Home Admissions Advisor for more information.
We appreciate that these measures may cause a certain degree of distress and discomfort and thank you for your support and understanding during these difficult times. We will continue to review our contingency plans daily, as well as taking advice from the Government and Public Health authorities.
