Why should I choose Cinnamon Care Collection?

Choosing the right care for a loved one is a significant decision. At Cinnamon Care Collection, we provide an environment where luxury living meets award-winning, person-centred care. Here are the key reasons why we are the preferred choice for families:

  • Ranked Number One in the UK: We are incredibly proud to be ranked as the Number One Care Home Group in the UK by carehome.co.uk*, the country’s leading independent review site. This ranking is based entirely on impartial reviews from residents, friends and families, reflecting our average group score of 9.9/10. *Ranked #1 Medium Large Group as of February 2026.
  • Industry-Leading CQC Ratings: We hold some of the best Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings in the sector. Currently, 100% of our inspected homes are rated as either ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’, placing us at the forefront of residential care providers for older people.
  • Award-winning hospitality: Our chefs are professionally trained and use fresh ingredients to prepare classic dishes as well as innovative creations. Many of our chefs have taken part in national competitions, including the National Association of Care Catering (NACC). They are supported by our Executive Chef, who ensures team members meet IDDSI nutritional standards while delivering exceptional quality, memorable dining experiences, and special events for our residents and their guests. We hold an annual Chef Challenge to foster creativity, collaboration, and camaraderie across our culinary teams. We are equally committed to developing future talent through our Trainee Chef Programme, which gives aspiring caterers the opportunity to learn alongside experienced chefs and follow a structured training pathway. This investment in people ensures our kitchens remain vibrant, skilled, and continually evolving.
  • Dedicated Wellbeing and Lifestyle teams: We provide award-winning enrichment through dedicated Wellbeing and Lifestyle teams, who have been recognised by the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) for excellence in creating tailored, imaginative programmes—such as the “Take Note” music project and “DrumTastic” fitness which ensure every resident lives life to the fullest.
  • Pioneering Safety Technology (Sensio): We are one of the first major groups to roll out Sensio RoomMate technology across our homes. This AI-powered, privacy-first sensor helps prevent falls by alerting teams before an incident occurs, ensuring residents can enjoy restful, undisturbed sleep while remaining safe.
  • Advanced Pain Management (PainChek): To support those who may struggle to verbalise discomfort, particularly residents living with dementia, we use PainChek. This innovative app uses AI facial recognition to detect subtle signs of pain, allowing our teams to provide faster, more accurate interventions and personalised care.

By combining beautiful environments with the latest healthcare innovations, we ensure our residents live happier, healthier, and more dignified lives.

How do you determine my care needs?

At Cinnamon Care Collection, determining your care needs is a collaborative and comprehensive process designed to ensure you receive truly person-centred care. We focus not just on your care requirements, but on your personality, history, and daily preferences.

Our assessment process follows these key steps:

  • Pre-Admission Care Needs Assessment: Before you move in, our experienced care team conducts a thorough evaluation to establish the exact level of support required. This helps us determine if our residential, nursing, or specialist dementia care is the right fit for you.
  • Getting to Know You: Our teams understand each resident’s passions, family, and past experiences, ensuring they feel celebrated for who they are.
  • Creation of a “Bespoke Care Plan”: Your personalised needs will be compiled into a flexible Individual Care Plan. This document acts as a live guide for our team, covering everything from your care needs to the meals you enjoy and your preferred daily routines.
  • Freedom and Flexibility: Residents have the freedom to live the life they choose, whether that means enjoying restaurant-style dining tailored to their tastes or participating in activities designed specifically for their interests and abilities
  • Integration of Smart Technology: We use Person-Centred Software (PCS) on digital handsets. This allows our team to update your care records instantly, ensuring that any changes in your needs—such as new advice from a GP—are reflected in your care plan that same day.

Ongoing Reviews: Your care is never static. We perform formal reviews of your care needs at least every six months, or more frequently if your circumstances change. These reviews are conducted in partnership with you and your family to ensure our support remains perfectly aligned with your requirement

What happens if my needs change?

At Cinnamon Care Collection, we strive to provide a home for life, offering peace of mind through every stage of the journey.

As your requirements evolve, we adapt our support in several ways:

  • Continuous Assessment: Our team regularly monitors your wellbeing, with formal care plan reviews taking place at least every six months to ensure your support remains perfectly tailored to you.
  • Specialist Support: Because we offer a range of services—including residential, nursing, and specialist dementia care—we can often adjust the level of support you receive without the need for you to move to a different environment.
  • Seamless Transitions: If your health needs become more complex, our highly trained teams work closely with you and your family to provide more intensive oversight while maintaining your comfort and quality of life.

End-of-Life Excellence: Our palliative care is designed around the principles of dignity and respect, ensuring that residents remain in familiar, comfortable surroundings supported by a team who knows them best.

Would you like to speak with one of our Home Admission Advisors about how we can support your care and support needs?

Does Cinnamon Care Collection offer trial stays?

Yes, we offer two distinct ways to trial life in our homes to ensure you are completely happy with your decision.

  1. Short-Term Respite Trials

If you aren’t ready to commit to a permanent move, you can join us for a short-term respite stay (typically a minimum of two weeks). This allows you to enjoy our restaurant-style dining, luxury facilities, and social activities while receiving expert care before making further plans.

  1. The 28-Day Trial Period (Permanent Placements)

For those moving in on a permanent basis, we provide further peace of mind through a formal trial period built into our resident contract:

  • The First 28 Days of any permanent stay are considered a trial period. This ensures that you have sufficient time to settle in and confirm that the home meets all your expectations.
  • Flexibility to Change Your Mind: During these initial 28 days, should you feel the home is not the right fit, you can terminate the agreement by providing just 7 days’ notice in writing.
  • Ongoing Flexibility: Even after the initial trial period has concluded, you are never “locked in” indefinitely. Under a permanent placement, you can serve notice to leave at any time by providing 28 days’ written notice.

Our goal is to ensure you feel confident and comfortable at every stage of your journey with us. We want you to choose a Cinnamon home because it truly feels like home.

Do you provide respite care?

Yes, we offer premium respite care across our collection of luxury homes.

Our respite care provides a seamless solution for short-term needs while offering a unique opportunity to experience our award-winning lifestyle before making a commitment. Whether you are seeking recovery after a hospital stay, looking to give a family carer a well-deserved break, or simply wish to “trial” life in a luxury care home, we provide an environment defined by warmth and sophistication.

What can I expect during a respite stay?

  • Expert 24-Hour Support: We provide tailored residential, nursing, and specialist dementia care, ensuring your needs are met by a professional team.
  • A “Trial” of Luxury Living: Many guests use a respite stay as a gentle introduction to care home life. It gives you the time to settle in, build friendships, and experience our community firsthand, without the pressure of making a permanent decision.
  • Gourmet Dining & Hospitality: You will enjoy the same high standards as our permanent residents, including restaurant-style cuisine prepared by talented chefs and served in elegant dining rooms.
  • Enriching Activities: Our respite guests are fully integrated into our vibrant social calendars, featuring stimulating activities, outings, and events designed to promote well-being.

Does Cinnamon Care Collection provide nursing care?

Yes, we provide expert nursing care at several of our dedicated nursing homes. These locations are fully registered and staffed by qualified nurses 24 hours a day to manage complex conditions and clinical requirements.

What if my preferred home is not registered for nursing?

We believe that a change in care needs shouldn’t necessarily mean a change in address. In our homes that are primarily registered for residential and dementia care, we are still able to meet residents’ various care and support requirements.

  • Integrated Care: For residents with nursing needs in these homes, we work in close partnership with local District Nursing teams. This collaborative approach allows us to meet most nursing needs.
  • Continuous Assessment: Our experienced care teams constantly monitor each resident’s health. If their needs become highly complex, we will provide honest guidance and support to ensure they are always in the safest environment for their specific level of care.

Our goal is to provide a “home for life” wherever possible, ensuring you receive the highest standard of care in the luxury surroundings you have grown to love.

Does Cinnamon Care Collection provide dementia care?

Yes, we provide person-centred dementia care within dedicated, supportive environments.

At Cinnamon, we understand that living with dementia requires a unique blend of professional expertise and deep compassion. We specifically design our dementia communities to ensure that residents feel safe, engaged, and valued. Cinnamon Care Collection’s dementia support focuses on the following pillars:

  • Person-Centred Approach: We take the time to learn each resident’s individual life history, preferences, and routines. This allows us to tailor our care to their unique personality, helping to maintain their identity and dignity.
  • Dementia-Friendly Design: Our environments feature thoughtful architecture, including clear signage and calming interiors. These elements are designed to reduce confusion and promote independence in a secure setting.
  • Bespoke Dementia Training: Our dedicated teams receive bespoke dementia training, ensuring they have the skills to support residents with varying stages of memory loss and any associated complex needs.
  • Meaningful Engagement: We offer a curated activities programme designed for cognitive stimulation and social connection, ranging from sensory experiences to music therapy.
  • Advanced Safety Technology: We utilise innovative tools like the Sensio RoomMate—a non-intrusive sensor that helps prevent falls and ensures resident safety without compromising their privacy or sleep.

National Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme (NaDCAS)

Cinnamon is the first large care group in the UK to rollout the National Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme (NaDCAS) across all our homes. This independent accreditation recognises excellence in dementia care, environment, and culture.

  • Leading the Way: We are proud to announce that Earlsfield Court has already achieved the prestigious Gold Star rating.
  • A Group-Wide Commitment: All other Cinnamon homes are currently on their own journey toward full NaDCAS accreditation, ensuring that every resident in our care benefits from a nationally recognised, market leading approach to dementia support.

Our goal is to provide a community where residents living with dementia can continue to live fulfilling, active lives with warmth, security, and proven expertise.

How do you support me with my move into the care home?

Can I personalise my room?

Absolutely! At the Cinnamon Care Collection, we believe your room should be a true reflection of you. While our luxurious bedrooms are designed and furnished to the highest standards, we actively encourage you to bring personal touches to make the space your own.

What is already included in your room:

  • Furniture: A high-quality electric profiling bed for maximum comfort, along with stylish storage units or wardrobes. Additionally, our beds use specialised OSKA mattresses designed to enhance comfort and proactively prevent pressure damage.
  • Technology: A widescreen TV, dedicated telephone line, and high-speed Wi-Fi to keep you connected with loved ones.
  • Comfort: A private en-suite wet room and a selection of premium bedding and pillow options tailored to your preference.
  • Safety: State-of-the-art monitoring systems and OSKA pressure-relieving mattresses for your wellbeing.

Ways to make it yours:

  • Cherished Items: We recommend bringing photos, ornaments, and artwork to decorate your surfaces and walls.
  • Small Furniture: You are welcome to bring a favourite armchair or small side tables to add a sense of familiarity.
  • Soft Furnishings: Personalise your bed with your own cushions or throws to add a splash of your favourite colour.

Bringing Your Own Possessions

To keep our homes as safe as they are beautiful, we just have a few “house rules” for your belongings:

  • Safety Checks: To keep everyone safe, our team will do a quick safety test on any electricals when you move in (and once a year after that).
  • Cosy & Compliant: If you’re bringing a favourite armchair or rug, just check it has its fire resistance label attached.
  • Protecting Your Treasures: While we look after the building, your personal treasures and cash aren’t covered by our insurance. We recommend taking out your own personal insurance so you can relax knowing your valuables are protected.
  • Your General Manager just needs to give the “okay” on any larger items simply to ensure your room remains a safe and spacious environment, allowing our team to provide your care and support seamlessly and without any obstacles.

Top Tip: Our maintenance team loves helping new residents settle in—feel free to ask them to help you hang your favourite artwork or mirrors!

What activities do you provide?

Our Award Winning Lifestyle Programme is designed to ensure every day is as active or as relaxed as you choose, providing a vibrant social atmosphere that supports both mental and physical wellbeing.

What technology does Cinnamon Care Collection use to care for its residents?

At Cinnamon Care Collection, we use a range of innovative digital systems to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of person-centred care. Our technology is designed to enhance safety while protecting resident dignity and privacy.

Key Care Technologies Include:

  • Sensio RoomMate: A state-of-the-art AI-powered monitoring system used for fall prevention and detection. This non-intrusive 3D infrared sensor notifies team members if a resident is at risk (e.g., getting out of bed) or has fallen, allowing for rapid response. It also allows for an undisturbed night’s sleep by eliminating the need for unnecessary night checks.
  • PainChek: By integrating PainChek’s AI-powered technology, our teams can accurately identify and manage pain even when it cannot be verbalised, ensuring our residents receive the most responsive, dignified, and personalised care possible
  • Person-Centred Software (PCS): Our care teams use digital handsets to access and update real-time care plans. This ensures every staff member has instant access to a resident’s preferences, care needs, and daily routines, reducing paperwork so they can spend more quality time with our residents.
  • Electronic Medication Management: We utilise digital systems to manage and record medication safely, minimising errors and ensuring precise administration.
  • Air Purification: All our homes are fitted with ozone machines/air handling units to help purify the air and reduce infection risks.
  • Communal Safety Systems: We maintain CCTV in communal areas (particularly within our dementia communities) and have on-site defibrillators for cardiac emergencies, ensuring a secure environment for all.

By integrating these technologies, we create a smarter, safer, and more dignified environment that supports both our residents’ well-being and our teams’ ability to provide exceptional care.

Does Cinnamon Care Collection accept couples?

Yes – couples are not only welcome, but they are also wholeheartedly supported to stay together.
We know how important it is for partners to remain side by side, and we make it a priority to ensure you can continue sharing daily life, companionship, and familiar routines while receiving the care you each need.

  • Stay Together, Comfortably
Many of our homes offer spacious rooms and bespoke suites designed specifically for two people, giving couples the space, privacy, and comfort to continue living together just as they always have.
  • Individual Care, Shared Home
Partners don’t always have the same care needs – and that’s fine. We create tailored care plans for each person, so one partner may receive residential care while the other has nursing or dementia support, all under the same roof and without being separated.
  • A Shared Lifestyle
Couples can dine together in our restaurant‑style dining rooms, join activities as a pair, and relax in our lounges and gardens. It’s an opportunity to continue enjoying life side by side, with the reassurance of professional support nearby.
  • Lifting the Burden on Carers
If one partner has been the primary carer at home, moving into a Cinnamon home allows you to return to being husband, wife, or partner, while our team takes care of daily support, personal care, and household tasks.

Whether you’re looking for a permanent home together or a short‑term respite stay, we’re committed to creating an environment where your relationship is respected, your bond is celebrated, and – most importantly – you remain together.

Can my family and friends visit?

Absolutely. We operate an open-visiting policy, and your guests are welcome at any time.

At Cinnamon Care Collection, we believe that maintaining strong connections with those you care about is essential for your well-being. We don’t just “allow” visitors; we encourage them to become part of our vibrant home communities.

  • Unrestricted Visiting: Family and friends are welcome to visit whenever it suits you. To ensure the safety and security of all residents overnight, we simply request that you notify the General Manager in advance of any planned visits between the hours of 10:00 pm and 9:00 am.
  • Private Dining & Celebrations: Many of our homes feature elegant private dining rooms specifically designed for hosting family and friends celebrations. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, or a special reunion, you can enjoy a bespoke menu prepared by our chefs in an intimate, private setting.
  • Social Spaces: You can choose to host your visitors in the privacy of your own en-suite room or suite, or enjoy our luxurious communal areas, including our bistro cafes, elegant lounges, and beautifully landscaped gardens.
  • Events and Activities: We frequently host community events, such as summer garden parties and live musical performances, where family and friends are always at the top of the guest list.
  • Staying Connected: For those who live further away, we provide support with digital technology to ensure you can stay in touch with friends and family through video calling whenever you wish.

We want your guests to feel as much at home as you do, which is why they will always find a warm welcome.

Can you accommodate my dietary needs?

Yes, absolutely. At Cinnamon Care Collection, we pride ourselves on our award-winning dining and nutrition. Our talented chefs prepare fresh, seasonal, and nutritious meals every day, ensuring that every resident’s dietary requirements are met with the same high standard of restaurant-style hospitality.

  • Tailored to Your Health:  We cater to all dietary needs, including diabetic-friendly, low-sodium, and heart-healthy options. Our chefs work closely with care teams and nutritionists to ensure your meals support your overall well-being.
  • Specialist Textures: For residents with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), we provide expertly prepared modified-texture diets (IDDSI levels). We focus on making these meals as visually appealing and flavourful as any other dish on our menu.
  • Lifestyle & Cultural Choices: Whether you are vegetarian or vegan, our kitchen teams will create bespoke menus that respect your lifestyle and beliefs. Should you require specialist meals we will be happy to work with our supply partners to facilitate Kosher or Halal meals, for example.
  • Allergy Management: We maintain rigorous standards for managing food allergies and intolerances, including gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free requirements. Your specific allergies are recorded in your digital care plan so our hospitality team is always informed.
  • Personal Preferences: Our teams maintain a record of your key preferences. If there is a particular dish you love or a “dislike” you’d prefer to avoid, our chefs are always happy to adjust the menu to suit your personal tastes. We offer an alternative menu each day as well as a light snack menu.

Dining is a highlight of life at Cinnamon, and we ensure that every meal is an experience to look forward to, regardless of your dietary needs.

Can I personalise my room?

What technology does Cinnamon Care Collection use to care for its residents?

How do you determine my Weekly Fee?

Finding the perfect home is a deeply personal journey, and we want to ensure your experience with the Cinnamon Care Collection is as seamless and transparent as possible.

Your weekly fee is carefully tailored to your specific lifestyle and requirements, determined by two key elements:

  • Your Choice of Room: Whether you prefer a spacious garden-view suite or a cosy, sun-filled room, your fee reflects the specific style, size, and location of the accommodation you choose. Each of our rooms is finished to the highest luxury standards, providing a beautiful sanctuary to call your own.
  • A Personalised Care Assessment: Before you join us, our expert care team will spend time with you to complete a friendly, comprehensive assessment. This allows us to understand your health, wellbeing, and lifestyle preferences in detail. Your fee is then set based on the exact level of professional support you need—ensuring you only pay for the care that is right for you.

By balancing your choice of room with a truly bespoke care plan, we ensure that you receive the very best value: a premium lifestyle backed by the peace of mind that comes from expert, 24/7 support.

What does the weekly fee include?

Our fees are effectively all-inclusive, covering:

  • 24-Hour Expert Care: All your personal support and care, tailored to your individual needs.

  • Luxury Living: Your private en-suite room or suite, plus all housekeeping, laundry services, and utility bills.
  • All-inclusive dining: From a hearty full English or Continental breakfast to delicious multi-course lunches and dinners, our chefs prepare every meal with care. Plus, enjoy a variety of sweet, savoury, and healthy snacks available throughout the day
  • The Wine List: Enjoy our resident-curated wine list, featuring selections hand-picked during our popular group-wide tasting events. We also provide a wide variety of premium soft drinks and high-quality non-alcoholic alternatives, ensuring there is always a perfect pour for every preference

  • Full Hospitality Service: Professional cleaning of all rooms and laundering of your bed linen and personal items (not requiring dry cleaning).
  • Keeping in touch: Inclusive calls to all UK destinations, if you are calling further afield, our teams can help you with technology such as Facetime or WhatsApp calls on your personal devices.

Exclusions (Additional Services):

To remain completely transparent, certain bespoke or personal services are not part of the standard weekly fee. These exclusions include:

  • Hairdressing in our on-site salons, physiotherapy, chiropody, therapy, dental care, and optical care.
  • Any additional one-to-one care or specialist equipment (such as specific electrical beds or chairs) not outlined in your standard Services or Care Plan.
  • Personal Essentials & Costs: Toiletries, other consumables, newspapers, and the cost of prescriptions.
  • Non-UK personal telephone charges.
  • Taxis, other transportation, and staff escorts to hospital or other external locations.
  • Specialist Laundry: Items requiring professional dry cleaning.

Any such costs can be requested and discussed upfront with the General Manager, so you are never met with an unexpected bill. By providing an effectively all-inclusive rate, we ensure you can focus on enjoying the Cinnamon lifestyle while we handle the details.

Will my Weekly Fee change?

At the Cinnamon Care Collection, we pride ourselves on being completely transparent about our pricing, ensuring you and your family can plan for the future with absolute confidence. While our fees are designed to be all-inclusive of our premium lifestyle, they may be adjusted in the following circumstances:

  • Annual Fee Review: To maintain our exceptional standards across care, hospitality, and our lifestyle and wellbeing programmes, an annual uplift takes effect on 1st April each year. This applies to all residents who moved into their home prior to 1st January of that same year.

While these adjustments help us manage the rising costs of providing a premium service, we work hard to keep them as fair as possible.

  • Tailored Care Needs: Your wellbeing is our priority. We will review your Care Plan at least every six months and if following an assessment, it shows your care needs have changed, your fee may be adjusted to reflect the level of support required. This is a two-way process—if your health improves and your care requirements decrease, your fee could be reduced accordingly.
  • A Change of Room: If you choose to move to a different room or suite within our home, your weekly fee will be updated to reflect the specific rate for your new accommodation.
  • Regulatory & Legal Changes: In the rare event of exceptional changes to law or government regulations, we may adjust fees to ensure we remain fully compliant with the latest safety and care standards.

Our Commitment to You

We are committed to clear communication; you will always receive at least 28 days’ written notice before any fee change takes effect. For further peace of mind, examples of fee increases are available upon request from the General Manager.

What funding options does Cinnamon accept?

At Cinnamon Care Collection, we want you to feel completely at home from the moment you arrive. Our funding process is designed to be as smooth as possible, ensuring you can focus on enjoying our luxury facilities and vibrant lifestyle.

Here’s how we handle funding for our residents:

  • Self-Funding: We primarily welcome residents who are funding their own care. This allows us to provide the high-standard, person-centred care and premium amenities—like our on-site cinemas, spas, and bistros—that our residents love.
  • Top-Up Options: We understand that financial situations can change over time. If a resident becomes eligible for local authority support, we do accept third-party top-ups. This means a family member can pay the difference between the council’s contribution and our standard fees, allowing you to remain in the comfort of your Cinnamon home.
  • Residents are required to cover the weekly fee for the full duration of their stay, whether they are funding their care privately or through Local Authority support supplemented by a third-party top-up payment
  • Support and Advice: We’re here to help you every step of the way. We are partnered with independent financial advisors who can offer impartial advice on care funding, and many of our homes host Care Funding Seminars to help families navigate their options.

We’re here to help you navigate these choices without the stress. If you have specific questions, our General Managers are always available to assist.

What happens if I run out of funds and can no longer meet the weekly fee?

At Cinnamon Care Collection, we understand that financial peace of mind is incredibly important. We aim to support our residents through changing circumstances with transparency and compassion.

If your financial situation changes, our primary goal is to work with you to find a sustainable solution. We provide the following assurances and pathways:

  • A Focus on Continuity: It is very rare for a resident who has lived with us for more than two years to need to relocate due to funding issues. We strive to provide a “home for life” and do everything possible to maintain the stability of our residents.
  • Exploring All Options: We will work closely with you and your family to explore every available avenue to bridge a funding gap. This may include:
    • Local Authority Support: Assisting with applications for local authority funding.
    • Room Adjustments: Discussing a move to a more affordably priced room within the home.
    • Top-up Contributions: Exploring options for family members to provide a “third-party top-up” to cover the difference in fees.
  • A Collaborative Approach: While we ultimately require the weekly fee to be covered to maintain our high standards of care and hospitality, we do not make these decisions in isolation. We will engage in open, honest discussions with you to find a way forward.
  • Assistance with Transitions: If a sustainable financial arrangement cannot be reached, we will not leave you without support. Our team will provide assistance in finding alternative accommodation ensuring a smooth and dignified transition.

Our priority is your well-being, and we encourage residents and their families to speak with our General Managers as early as possible if they have concerns about future funding.
