Rivermede Court has been selected as a finalist in three categories for the Surrey Care Awards: Care Home of the Year, Team of The Year (Large Provider), and Innovation in Technology. Winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony at Denbies Wine Estate, hosted by TV presenter Judy Love.
Surrey Care Awards recognise the outstanding work of teams and individuals within the care sector across Surrey. Rivermede Court stood out to the judges for providing exceptional residential, dementia and respite care within a stunning, beautifully designed environment.
The care home’s Wellbeing & Lifestyle Team, led by Hanka Vlhova and supported by Kayleigh Mauger, has been selected as a finalist for Team of the Year in recognition of the stimulating activities arranged for residents, tailored to their individual hobbies and preferences. Hanka and her team organise a range of creative activities such as arts and crafts, music, and gardening, involving residents of all abilities and at all stages of their dementia journey.
They often arrange trips out of the care home as well as intergenerational activities with local schools, ensuring that residents feel connected with the wider community.
Rivermede Court has also been selected as a finalist in the Innovation and Technology category of the Surrey Care Awards in recognition of its partnership with technology provider Sensio. Every resident’s room is equipped with Sensio’s RoomMate, an advanced infrared monitoring system powered by AI. This innovation helps reduce falls, enhances privacy, and enables the Rivermede Court team to deliver truly proactive and responsive person-centred care.
Manon James-Mallinger, General Manager at Rivermede Court said, “It is such an honour to have been selected as a finalist in three categories of the Surrey Care Awards. At Rivermede Court, we see it as a real privilege to care for our residents, and we always go above and beyond to ensure that we offer the very highest standards in care, in a luxury environment.”
