An audience with Louis Alexander

We are delighted to invite you to a very special series of inspirational talks with British adventurer, Guinness World Record holder and Cinnamon Ambassador Louis Alexander.

To mark the start of Dementia Action Week, professional adventurer and three-time world record holder Louis Alexander, 26, unveiled his most perilous expedition yet: a world-first attempt to kayak seven of the deadliest ocean crossings on the planet, each notorious for violent currents and extreme weather.

The project marks the final chapter of Louis’ “Trilogy of the Seven.” Having already conquered running marathons on all seven continents and swimming marathons in all seven seas. The London-based explorer is now harnessing waves to complete his momentous mission, partnering with the high-profile charity Race Against Dementia, founded by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE. The expedition is supported by headline sponsor Cinnamon Care Collection, which has appointed Louis as its first official brand ambassador

The mission is a personal tribute to his grandfather, Captain Rick Taylor, who served in the British Army for 38 years before facing a 17-year battle with dementia.

Louis will navigate 12 countries as part of completing the seven iconic crossings, with the challenge beginning in July. Together, these routes represent more than 300 miles of exposed open water, which demands long, continuous paddling with no margin for error. The seven crossings are:

English Channel (UK to France), North Channel (Ireland to Scotland), Strait of Gibraltar (Spain to Morocco), Cook Strait (New Zealand), Singapore Strait (Singapore to Indonesia), Molokai Channel (Hawaii), Beagle Channel (Chile to Argentina)
