Mornington Court is the latest Cinnamon care home to receive the NaDCAS Dementia Accreditation

Celebrations are in full swing at our New Milton care home with the wonderful news that Morning Court has achieved the Platinum Award, the highest placement as part of the National Dementia Accreditation Scheme, NaDCAS.

The proud hallmark celebrates excellence in care and a commitment to delivering exceptional dementia care, every day, at our luxury care home. It is a team success where each member goes the extra mile for the wellbeing of residents.

What is a NaDCAS accreditation?

The NaDCAS accreditation is a nationally recognised qualification and evidence-based programme that supports and celebrates care providers who demonstrate outstanding practice in dementia care across every aspect of daily life.

It relies on a research-informed framework that assesses nine key areas of competence to ensure consistent good practice in supporting people living with dementia.

Knowledge and understanding of dementia care
Information about the person
Person-centred participation and engagement
The enabling environment
The homely environment
Light, sound, smell, and touch for wellbeing
Team induction, training, and nurture
Approach and emotional connection
Vision, culture, and leadership

Caring from the heart

The Platinum dementia accreditation award places compassion at the centre of every interaction, from the purpose-led activities programme to building welcoming communities and connections within the home.
