The Gables care home in Hagley is hosting a monthly networking breakfast event to support local businesses, organisations and charities while encouraging stronger community relationships.
Mark Shockledge, Operations Manager at The Gables, said, “Seeing our networking breakfast grow into such a supportive and uplifting space has been amazing to see. These events are about more than networking; they’re about connection. Within the first events, to witness rekindled friendships, new partnerships, and people coming together with such enthusiasm has been really special.”
The sessions have already delivered some heartwarming moments, including the unexpected reunion of two friends who had not seen each other for more than 30 years. They discovered they both now work in hearing and ear care, one in community-based support and the other at a Hagley hearing practice.
Paul Turvey, Home Admissions Advisor, said, “The warmth and energy at these breakfasts are unmatched. It’s rare to find a networking event that feels so genuinely community-focused. We are proud to have created a brilliant space where local enterprises and charities can connect and support each other.”
