Supporting and developing future care professionals
The Gables and Sutton Park Grange, part of the Cinnamon Care Collection, were delighted to attend an event hosted by Embark Learning Care Academy at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The homes were honoured to be presented with the esteemed Pathways to Care Award by Dame Floella Benjamin.
Presented jointly by Fairway Homecare and Embark Learning Care Academy, the award recognises organisations that show outstanding dedication to developing the future workforce within the social care sector. It highlights those who actively support individuals in moving from classroom learning to professional practice by building confidence, nurturing talent, and strengthening the skills needed for a resilient care workforce.
Speaking at the event, Embark Learning Care Academy said, “Cinnamon Care Collection has shown exceptional commitment to developing the future workforce in care. By consistently welcoming a high number of learners for work experience, they play a vital role in building confidence, nurturing talent, and helping individuals make the transition from classroom to care setting.
Their hands-on support, encouragement, and dedication to bridging the gap between education and employment make them an essential partner in our mission to create work-ready, compassionate professionals.”
Karen Handley, Home Admission Advisor at Sutton Park Grange, expressed her delight, “This award came as a wonderful surprise. We pride ourselves at Cinnamon Care Collection on the training and support we give our team members and are keen to help introduce new people to opportunities in the care sector.”
The recognition reflects Cinnamon Care Collection’s ongoing commitment to excellence in training, development, and creating rewarding pathways into a career in care.
