For the past 13 years I have had the good fortune to work within the retirement and care home industry and I really enjoy being with people who have lived long and very interesting lives.
As I’m a certain age myself I can appreciate how difficult it is for prospective residents and their families to make the right decision about where and how they want to spend the rest of their lives. Lifestyle goes hand in hand with care nowadays and is equally important to such a discerning age group.
I live with a beloved greyhound who comes to work with me and is a wonderful ice breaker when a visitor is making a decision about where to live in the future.
I have worked in the care sector for the last 6 years, my role as a Resident Services Advisor at Eden Court is both a privileged and enjoyable one. I can help, advise and support families and individuals as they consider a move into a care environment. Having had personal family experience of such a move, I am acutely aware of how life changing such a move can be. I very much enjoy meeting many different people and am passionate about helping them making the right choices for their future.
I have been an active part of the care/retirement sector for the past 12 years. My role has been to meet with residents and families who are considering a change in their current living situation, sometimes as a choice and sometimes due to necessity. This role has been both rewarding and fulfilling and has become a true passion. I am also a Dementia Champion and have given a number of talks creating new Dementia Friends along the way. My other role as a mother and wife also keeps me busy in my spare time. I am privileged to of been able to bring my beautiful rescue greyhound Norman to work with me over the past 7 years and often he will be the one everyone remembers!
