Wellington Vale

Meet our Team

We’d like to introduce our friendly Wellington Vale team who are determined to be the difference in senior care.

At Wellington Vale care Home we treat people how we’d like them to treat our loved ones – like family. We understand everyone we look after has their own needs and preferences. So we create care plans which address everything from their individual care provision and dietary requirements to their favourite foods and hobbies. And with great food on the menu every day, each day is a new enjoyable experience.

What I Do

As the Interim General Manager I am responsible for the day-to-day management of the home. I support and lead every department and team member to ensure we deliver quality care and the best home experience we can to our wonderful residents. It is also very important for me to be available for our residents and their families, to remind them that my door is always open and they are welcome!

My Experience

My journey in care began at age 15, washing dishes in my local nursing home—and I’ve never looked back. That early experience sparked a lasting passion for supporting others and set me on a path of learning and leadership.

Since then, I’ve embraced every opportunity to grow, working in every role within the home—including the occasional stint in the kitchen! I’ve held leadership positions in both small and large organisations at home, regional, and operational levels. But my heart belongs to home management, where I can be part of residents’ lives and see the impact of meaningful care each and every day.

About Me

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me staying active at the gym, unwinding at the cinema, or enjoying peaceful hours by the water with a fishing rod in hand.

What I Do

As the Home Admissions Advisor I am the main point of contact for new residents and their families. I guide and support them through the decision process of choosing a care home by providing them with information on the choice of our care options, facilities and the expertise of our team. The best way for residents and families to ‘feel’ our beautiful home is to tour it so I love to show them around and give them an opportunity to see for themselves everything we have to offer and to meet our incredible team!

My Experience

I returned to the UK in 2012 after working in Ibiza & Italy in the Tourism sector for 14 years. On my return, I joined the music and entertainment industry, managing DJs and acts from home before venturing back out into the workplace and joining the Wellington Vale team in 2020.

About Me

I live locally with my husband Tim, my son Luca, and my brother-in-law Matt. I love having our 2-year-old grandson Caspian over at the weekends, especially for the morning cuddles watching TV in bed. Our beautiful collie dog called Sox, completes our crazy but happy family life!

What I Do

I am the head housekeeper here at Wellington Vale. My role is to manage the housekeeping team effectively so that the whole home including resident rooms and communal areas is kept clean and tidy. I have enjoyed watching the team grow and now have a wonderful team of seven working alongside me.

About Me

I am a very sociable person and love to walk in my spare time. I also enjoy supporting my granddaughter with her doggie day-care business.
