Lakeview Grange
Meet our Team
We’d like to introduce our friendly Lakeview Grange team who are determined to be the difference in senior care.
At Lakeview Grange we treat people how we’d like them to treat our loved ones – like family. We understand everyone we look after has their own needs and preferences. So we create care plans which address everything from their individual care provision and dietary requirements to their favourite foods and hobbies. And with great food on the menu every day, each day is a new enjoyable experience.

General Manager
Shaun Matthews

What I Do
I am proud to be the General Manager at Lakeview Grange.
As the General Manager, I am responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day running of the home. My role is to ensure that every resident receives the highest standard of person-centred care in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment. I lead and develop a dedicated team, oversee compliance with CQC regulations, and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and the wider community. With a focus on quality, compassion and professionalism, I strive to create a warm, homely setting where residents can live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
My Experience
I have been working in care for 20 years and have held a range of positions from Carer to Registered Manager. I have always worked in elderly care, including dementia care and palliative care. I have been a manager for the last eight years. I love the satisfaction of making a positive difference, however great or small, in the life of someone less able than I am, whatever stage of life they have reached.
About Me
Outside of work I have a fiancé and three children that keep me busy. I also enjoy cooking, gardening and reading.

Home Admission Advisor
Jackie Cridlin

What I Do
In my role I work with families and friends who are looking for a care home for their loved one. From the moment they make their enquiry for care to when they move their loved one into Lakeview Grange, I ensure their journey goes as smoothly as possible by supporting them every step of the way for an easy transition.
My Experience
I started my career in care as a retirement housing manager in Central London and for the last 20 years I have supported Home Admission Advisors with training in care homes across the country. In the last 3 years I have stepped down from a regional role and decided to focus on just one Care Home, hence my role at Lakeview Grange.
I treat every family with dignity and respect and will go above and beyond to ensure family members receive the support they need in helping them to make the right decisions for what can be a very emotional experience.
About Me
I was born in South London and now live in Chichester with my partner. Between us we have four children who have all flown the nest. My family mean the world to me, and I try to meet with them as much as possible. Being happy with a positive attitude is my approach to life.

Deputy Manager
Joshua Presdee

What I Do
I ensure Lakeview Grange remains compliant with rules and regulations whilst ensuring that the residents’ experience remains a positive and happy one, ensuring that residents have access to daily activities and are able to pursue their day freely and with choice.
My Experience
I have worked in care for 5 and a half years. I spent a year and a half as a Bank Care Assistant and then a Care Assistant before moving up to becoming a Senior Care Assistant for a year. Following this I was a Head Of Care for 3 years before I then made my move to Lakeview Grange to become Deputy Manager.
About Me
I am an individual who stumbled into care following graduating from the University of West England with a degree in Business Management with Economics and have now worked in care ever since. I am passionate about ensuring that everyone receives the best possible care they can have whilst also remaining happy and safe. In my spare time I enjoy watching multiple sports as well as socialising with my friends and family.

Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator
Mary Oliver

What I Do
My role involves creating a varied and exciting Activity Plan reflecting residents’ individual hobbies and shared interests, with daily physical activities (including ‘Zing’ our in-house exercises) and chances for new opportunities.
Maintaining old, and building new, relationships are vital and we welcome visitors, volunteers, and local groups. Equally key for wellbeing is getting out whether in and around Chichester or using our accessible garden.
Activities also encompass cultural and religious beliefs, as well as National Holidays and events. As a whole home we will celebrate with fun ‘Theme Days’ involving food, music, art & craft and Fancy Dress and competitions.
My Experience
For the last 7 years I’ve been a Care Home Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator, where I completed my ‘Active Engagement’ Apprenticeship. Before, I cared for my Dad (who was blind and terminally ill) and then my Mum (who had physical disabilities and Dementia). Over the past 25 years I’ve worked in many Social Care sectors as a Carer, Manager and qualifying as a Master of Social Work.
About Me
With my Degree in English & Drama, I write and perform in a Theatre Group, I’m in various Choirs and volunteer at my Community Cinema. I love ‘Nostalgia’ and Classic Cars – sharing a ‘Moggy Minor’ with my partner. We also share our cat and dog, and a love of history, travel, pub quizzes and being by the sea.

Administrator
Hannah Clayton

What I Do
I am responsible for the business operations at Lakeview Grange. I look after a wide range of areas including recruitment, HR administration, payroll, and general office management. I also oversee and support our lovely reception team who ensure that every visitor and resident has a warm welcome.
My Experience
I have a unique combination of experience that has led me to being an administrator in a care home. As a teen my parents ran a small 3 bed care home in our family home and so care and respect of the older generation is something that is part of my upbringing. As an adult I went on to be a GP Secretary and later an Administrator of Finance and HR in a secondary school, a combination of skills that has set me up well to be a business administrator for Lakeview Grange.
About Me
I am a mum to two grown up (ish) children; my son is 23 and my daughter is 20. Like all mums, I am very proud of them both. I find reading really relaxing so I’m always in the middle of a book or an audiobook. I love music and going to concerts as well as going to the theatre. I enjoy nothing more than catching up with friends and family, whether we’re out together or staying in for a good chat that lasts late into the night. Travelling is very important whether that be a spontaneous adventure, a road trip or somewhere further afield. But as much as anything, I love a cosy night on the sofa with my slippers on!
