What I Do
As the Village Manager at Eden Court, I have the privilege of overseeing this beautiful retirement village. Eden Court is truly unique—each time you step in, it feels special and welcoming. We strive to create an environment where both residents and their families can form a meaningful emotional connection.
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care, ensuring that it goes beyond just our residents. I also take great pride in offering a workplace where staff feel valued, have fun and love to work, creating a positive and supportive environment for all.
My Experience
I hold a BSc Hons in Chemistry and Dementia Care Mapping from Bradford University, and I bring over 30 years of experience in the care industry. My journey began as a care assistant, and over the years, I have progressed through various roles, ultimately managing a range of care homes.
I specialise in turnaround projects for care homes and have had the privilege of leading teams within luxury brand care homes to achieve Outstanding ratings with the CQC. Throughout my career, I have been honoured with several awards, including Manager of the Year and Care Home Team of the Year, and have successfully commissioned brand new luxury care homes.

I believe in the power of laughter and enjoy having fun in everything I do. As a proud mother to three wonderful princesses, I cherish family and the joy they bring to my life.
In my free time, I love writing and playing music, as well as watching comedies that bring a smile to my face. Nature is a true source of inspiration for me, and I enjoy surrounding myself with vibrant colours and the beauty that the world has to offer.

Care Services Manager
Sara Goodwin

What I Do
As Care Service Manager, I oversee care delivery at Eden Court, ensuring compliance at the outstanding level required by CQC and that it is delivered with compassion and flair.
My Experience
I bring nearly twenty years of experience in the care sector at various levels, including as a Registered Manager.
About Me
In my spare time, I love clambering over old ruins, visiting castles and historic monuments. English history is something that fascinates me, especially as there is so much of it around! Our other joy is travelling around Europe (when we can) and trying out new cuisines and restaurants.

Care Services Manager
Josh Newcombe

What I Do
As Care Services Manager, I oversee all aspects of care and clinical practice within the home, ensuring high standards of safety, compassion, and person-centred care. I bring over five years of NHS experience to the role, including three years in a busy A&E trauma centre and time in intensive care, where I developed a strong foundation in acute clinical practice and crisis management.
My Experience
Since moving into the social care sector, I’ve held management positions in several care homes, leading teams to deliver dignified, high-quality care in complex environments. My passion for elderly care is deeply personal—my grandfather lived with dementia, and that experience continues to drive my dedication to ensuring residents feel safe, respected, and well-supported.
About Me
Outside of work, I enjoy running, football, trying my best to play golf, and spending time with friends. I’m very family-oriented, and I love travelling and being out in nature whenever I can.

Resident Service Advisor
George Bacon

What I Do
As a Resident Service Advisor my role is to guide and assist all new enquiries and admissions at Eden Court. As the first point of call, I am responsible for showcasing the Retirement Village to all our prospective residents as well as being there to answer any questions they may have surrounding Eden Court. I also heavily focus on community engagement, making sure that Eden Court is recognized as a supportive, caring and friendly part of our local community.
My Experience
I started in care in 2018, where I worked as an Activity and Events Manager. I love being around residents and supporting their social needs. I became aware that one of the key times residents need the most support is when they are transitioning from their home to care. In 2021 I started working as a Residents Service Advisor and I have never looked back. I love helping families and residents find the right level of care, and be there for them at their start of their later-life journey. In 2024 I moved to Eden Court, where I was welcomed with open arms by the team and the residents alike.
About Me
I am all about Fun. I love creating memories with friends and families. I really enjoy a good city break and adore music festivals. I have two nephews who I love to spend time with. I recently completed a year in New Zealand with my partner which was an absolute highlight of my life, I look forward to having more adventures in the future.

Resident Services Advisor
Avid Izad

What I Do
As a Resident Services Advisor at Eden Court, I support new residents and their families through one of life’s big transitions by making sure they feel informed, welcomed, and cared for every step of the way.
I love problem solving, especially when I can help someone find the right solution or make a difficult decision feel easier. Being there to listen, guide, and reassure is what makes this role so rewarding for me.
My Experience
I have over four years of experience working in the care sector, where I’ve developed a strong understanding of the needs of residents and the importance of patience and clear communication. Prior to my work in care, I built a foundation in hospitality through several years working in hotels. These experiences helped me develop a people-first mindset and a natural ability to make others feel comfortable, supported, and heard, skills I rely on every day at Eden Court.
About Me
I’m naturally curious and love connecting with people from all walks of life. Travelling, exploring new cultures, and getting to know others on a deeper level inspire me and keep life exciting. In my free time, I’m either planning my next holiday or spending quality time with my family and friends.
I’m also passionate about staying active, whether I’m out for a run, doing yoga, or enjoying a long walk. It’s all about balance, which is why I make plenty of room for my one true weakness: chocolate!

What I Do
I’m the Head Chef at Eden Court, where I create nutritious, seasonal menus tailored to the needs of our elderly residents, including those with dementia and specific dietary requirements. My role is about more than just food, it’s about enhancing quality of life through thoughtful, appealing meals that residents look forward to.
My Experience
I’ve worked across pubs and restaurants, gaining hands on experience in fast-paced kitchens and refining my culinary skills. Transitioning into care has allowed me to bring creativity and restaurant quality meals into a setting where food plays a crucial role in wellbeing and comfort.
About Me
My love for cooking began in my grandfather’s bakery in Sicily, where I learned the value of food made with care. Now a father of two young girls, life is wonderfully busy both in and out of the kitchen. I’m passionate about using food to make people feel at home, wherever they are.

My Experience
I am originally from France where I trained at the Hotel & Tourism School in Bordeaux. When I cam to England I worked as Deputy Head Housekeeper at Buckingham Palace looking after the Queen’s guests.

Dining Services Manager

As Dining Services Manager, I am responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. I lead and coordinate a professional team in menu planning, procurement, staff training, and compliance with health and safety regulations. With a commitment to operational excellence and a focus on enhancing the dining experience, I strive to deliver efficient, consistent, and elevated service tailored to the needs of our guests, residents, and organization.

With a strong foundation in luxury high-end fine dining, I bring years of experience delivering exceptional guest experiences in some of the most prestigious hospitality settings. My career has been shaped by a passion for excellence, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the standards and service required in elite dining environments. I hold a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, complemented by studies in Health and Social Care providing me with a unique blend of operational expertise and a deep understanding of guest wellbeing.

Throughout my career, I have successfully overseen maintenance operations, implemented preventative maintenance strategies, and led teams to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance. I take pride in problem-solving, team coordination, and maintaining high operational standards to support smooth business operations.
About Me
I love technology at the most, and I’m always learning and training to improve my skills. I love music and play piano and guitar when I have some time.

Lead Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator
Anita Andrew

What I Do
As the Lead Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator at Eden Court, I create weekly schedules focused on physical wellbeing, mental stimulation and social engagement. I organise a variety of activities, including group exercises, creative workshops, outings and social events, all tailored to our residents’ interests and needs.
I work closely with the local community, welcoming schools, clubs and volunteers to foster a sense of belonging. Additionally, I arrange external entertainment and specialist visits to provide diverse experiences. My goal is to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
My Experience
I hold a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and a master’s in Sports Biomechanics, where I gained expertise in improving fitness and wellbeing for both athletes and the general population. While studying at Loughborough University, I worked part-time as an Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator in a care home, where I saw firsthand the positive impact of physical, mental, and social activities on residents’ wellbeing and overall quality of life.
This rewarding experience inspired me to pursue a career in the care sector. After completing my studies, I returned to London and joined Eden Court as the Lead Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator, where I combine my academic knowledge and practical experience to design programmes that enrich the lives of our residents.
About Me
I have always loved staying active. After my sprinting career was cut short by injury, I discovered aerial gymnastics. Now, I practise aerial straps, hoop and silks for both fitness and fun and they have become an important part of my life outside of work.
