What I Do

I am proud to lead a passionate team to deliver personalised quality care for our residents at Rokewood Court, ensuring they live well in a safe and caring environment.

My Experience

I started my journey into care when I was 17 years old and caring for my father before he passed. Since then, I have worked in various positions from Care Assistant to Commissioning Registered Manager and hold a level 5 in Health and Social Care Management. I was proud to have been the Registered Manager of Rokewood Court when it opened in 2020, and I am very happy to be back as it remains close to my heart.

About Me

When I am not busy working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children and grandchildren. We enjoy trips away amongst nature. I have a love for animals and keep chickens, a cat named Simba, fish and a tortoise named Gonzo!

What I Do

I qualified as a teacher in 2005, but my path changed in 2012 when I came to the UK and started working in the care sector as a care assistant. I have experience in both nursing and residential care homes which enabled me to gain more in-depth knowledge of differing care needs. I am a great believer in that no two residents are the same and that each have differing needs, desires and preferences.

My Experience

I have developed through training and practice and besides being a care assistant, I have been an activity coordinator, a team leader and I currently have over 5 years experience as a Deputy Manager.

My biggest achievement to date has been occupying a position as Acting Manager in my previous workplace. It was a very rewarding position, full of new challenges from which I have learnt a lot and gained good understanding of the management role in a care home which I look forward to bringing to Rokewood Court. I am currently working on my Leadership and Management level 5 Diploma and I am using every opportunity to share my experience with the team and to get involved in our residents care. I am very passionate about elderly and Dementia care which I aim to pass on to the rest of the team.

The reason I started working with Rokewood Court and Cinnamon Care Collection is that we are all united and share the same values: passion, dedication and respect. I am looking forward meeting you all.

About Me

I love travelling and trying different foods. I have a son who just turned one that keeps me busy and amazed each day. I love spending time with my family and seeing the little one grow.
