Senior General Manager
Mark Shockledge
Senior General Manager
What I do:
I am a Senior General Manager with Cinnamon Care and whilst I am responsible for Eastcote Park Retirement Village and Care Home, I also manage the companies electronic care planning system and support other General Manager to reach the company quality standards.
I am passionate about providing the highest standards of care and support to the people who choose to live with us and ensure that my team operate at the same level. It is a real privilege to care for your loved one and my whole purpose is to ensure that we aim to be the best at what we provide.
My experience:
I count myself fortunate to have gained so much valuable experience. My career in care started many years ago and since the age of 16 I have met, by profession I am a qualified Social Worker and have managed a wide range of community services , residential and nursing homes working with older people, people with a learning difficulty, people living with dementia and supporting people who are at the end of their life.
In my last role working for Cinnamon Care my care home was rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission which I am immensely proud of. I have met, cared for, and worked with some amazing people who have taught me so much.
About me:
I have recently relocated from Southampton so am still getting to know the surrounding areas. My family and friends will say I am a bit of a workaholic, highly competitive and a perfectionist who won’t take second best in anything.
My family live in the North so travelling to see them and my grandson is always a priority. In my spare time I enjoy reading, theatre and walking my two dogs. I look forward to welcoming you to Eastcote Park

What I do: I have worked for the Cinnamon Care Collection since 2016 and have been a part of an amazing team in Leicester. I am really excited to be at Eastcote Park now and feel that my experience will be beneficial to the residents and families I meet here. Empathy, understanding and a real world experience of the issues facing families and their loved ones are a few of the things I bring to the team and along with colleagues, we can help make the transition into care as stress free as possible. I love nothing more than returning family members to being family members rather than carers.
My experience:
For the past 4.5 years I have been working as a Home Admissions Advisor (same job different title!) where I developed an understanding about what makes a good care home and I know that Eastcote will be as well. I helped care for my Mother in Law who developed young onset dementia in her early 50’s so I truly understand the journey families are on.
About me:
Outside of work I enjoy quality family time with my 2 kids and 2 dogs. I am a coach for a local girls football team and although enjoyable I can get a little competitive at times!! I enjoy eating out (when we can) and spending time with family and friends and perhaps having a glass of red or 2!
Suzanne Bates
Administrator
Suzanne Bates
Administrator
What I do:
I am the Administrator for Eastcote Park Care Home. Being a part of the team here at a new care home is exciting for me and I cannot wait! I am very happy to be working alongside a great team from the beginning and welcoming all our new staff and residents and becoming one big happy family.
About me:
I have worked in the Care Home sector since 2012 starting off as an Admin Assistant and working my way up to Administrator, training and helping other Administrators and Admin Assistants at local homes within the same company. This is the third large Care Home I have worked in but definitely the best!! I really would not want to work in any other industry as I love being a part of our residents lives and providing a high standard of care.
My experience:
I look after the Finance and HR for the care home and apartments. Myself and my Admin Assistants are the first point of contact for any questions or queries you may have. I am a workaholic so you will see me around a lot.
In my spare time I enjoy going to concerts, the theatre and I also enjoy relaxing on holiday.
