There’s always a fun community event happening every week at Sunnybank House. Why not drop by for a good time, and a chance to enjoy the company of new found friends. All events are free and refreshments will be available.
Mondays
Sunnybank Women’s Group
1st and 3rd Monday every month at 2.30pm
Sunnybank Women’s Group is for residents, families and the wider community. We have guest speakers, arts and crafts, tea and cake and lots of fun. All ladies of any age are welcome.
Memory Café, Andover Mind
2nd Monday of the month 2pm – 3.30pm
Our Memory Café is a wonderfully welcoming place for caregivers and their loved ones who are challenged with forms of dementia or other cognitive disorders. It is a safe and comfortable space where caregivers and their loved ones can socialize, listen to music, play games, and enjoy other appropriate activities.
Our Memory Cafe is open to residents, family members and also anyone from the wider community. Tea/Coffee and Cake provide.
Poetry and Reminiscing Group
4th Monday of the month at 2.15pm
There are therapeutic benefits for sharing, reading and writing poems. Our Poetry and Reminiscing group encourages residents, family, staff and the wider community to meet together with poems on a monthly theme and then use these to bring evoke memories of the past.
Tuesdays
Knit and Knatter
2nd and 4th Tuesday every month at 2.15pm
Do you enjoy knitting? Come along to our self-led session for convivial conversation and craft. Bring your own wool, needles and patterns, and share ideas. New and Experienced Knitters welcome. No need to book, just come along to the group.
Tea and cake provided.
Wednesdays
Community Coffee Morning
1st and 3rd Wednesday every month at 11am
Come and join us for our community coffee and catch up mornings twice a month here at Sunnybank House. A chance to meet old friends and new. Open to residents, families and the wider community. Coffee and Biscuits provided.
Fridays
Men’s Group
Every Friday at 11am
Lads who Latte is a group for men who like to meet others for coffee and a chat. We also enjoy 3D puzzles, making things, socialising and a host of other activities chosen by those who join. Tea and Biscuits included.
Saturdays
Musical Memories
2nd and 4th Saturday every month 2.15pm – 3.45pm
Our Musical Memories group brings people affected by dementia together to sing a variety of songs they know and love, in a fun and friendly environment. All are welcome to attend this event – tea and cake provided
