Nominations are now open to find Community Heroes in and around Egham – ideally over the age of 60 – who go above and beyond for their local community.
The search for Community Heroes – including local volunteers, neighbourhood champions and war veterans – is being organised ahead of the opening of our new care home, Rivermede Court, Egham, in October 2019.
Cinnamon Care Collection will give a generous donation to the chosen charities of two Cinnamon Community Hero finalists and invite them to the VIP opening event at Rivermede Court where the winner will be announced.
Libby Barrett, General Manager at Rivermede Court, comments, “We believe it’s important to give recognition to older people in Egham for the valuable contribution they make in caring for others in the local community.
“There are so many hidden heroes in the area, including neighbours who help others with shopping, knitters who make garments for premature babies, long-standing Brownie or Cub Scout leaders who selflessly volunteer their time, allotment owners who share their produce with others…the list goes on! We’d like to reward these Community Heroes and thank them for the invaluable role they play in the local community. If you know someone who makes a difference in the local community, please nominate them to be our Community Hero.”
To nominate a Community Hero, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Libby Barrett on 01784 417828. Alternatively, visit the Marketing Suite at Rivermede Court, 64 The Avenue, Egham TW20 9AD to collect a nomination form.
