28th August 2019, the Cinnamon Care Collection flagship retirement village, Emerson Park in Hextable, has donated £1,000 to the Silver Birch Fund – supporting lone, elderly patients admitted to Darent Valley Hospital (DVH).
Silver Birch run a rolling programme providing hospital essentials such as cosy nightwear, dressing gowns and toiletries to older patients. They also fund an elderly care ward bi-monthly tea party and provide Christmas gifts for patients admitted during the festive period.
Angela Ridyard, Silver Birch founder comments, “We are delighted with Emerson Park’s generous donation. It will go towards current projects, such as the purchase of privacy & dignity screens for the DVH emergency department, to make the experience of being in such a busy environment more pleasant for lone, elderly patients.”
Paul Hart, General Manager, Emerson Park adds, “Silver Birch is a wonderful charity, specifically focussed on helping the elderly in our community at a time of need – hospital admission.
