Our GM tells BBC Radio Leicester “Its never doom and gloom” at Cedar Mews
Spirits were high and excitement buzzed through the air at Cedar Mews, as the first of many families came to meet residents following the easing of government guidelines around visiting loved ones in care homes.
Amongst some of the incomers was a rather excited pet dog, who got to meet one member of the family following a lengthy lockdown separation.
In an interview with BBC Radio Leicester, General Manager Helen Cooke tells listeners about the fantastic things that are happening at Cedar Mews to keep our care home safe and to ensure residents remain positive. Listen to the BBC interview here with our Manager regarding visitors once again being welcomed.
To prepare for the big day residents were up bright and early, and our hair and beauty salon was kept busy much of the morning, as everyone wanted to look their best for when their visiting families arrived.
The celebrations ran through the day with much to cheer for after the government announced the UK’s third national lockdown in January.
