Meet Our Team
We’d like to introduce our friendly team at The Gables who are determined to be the difference in senior care.
At The Gables we treat people how we’d like them to treat our loved ones – like family. We understand everyone we look after has their own needs and preferences. So we create care plans which address everything from their individual care provision and dietary requirements to their favourite foods and hobbies. And with great food on the menu every day, each day is a new enjoyable experience.

General Manager
What I Do:
I am the General Manager at The Gables. As such, I am responsible for the day to day management of the home in all aspects from care to catering to maintenance to housekeeping. This means that I need to have a good knowledge of all the separate functions in order for me to lead the team members to deliver a fantastic experience to our residents. As the General Manager my role is vast; I can be involved in anything from recruitment to payroll to audits to care. No day is the same, which is why I love what I do.
My Experience:
I originally trained as a Registered Nurse and have worked in the field of care of the Older Person in both the NHS and in the independent sector since I qualified. Along the way I have gained several degrees, including a Masters degree in Law and Employment relations and a Masters degree in Leadership and Management. I have worked in a variety of roles in my career and am thrilled to be using all my skills and experience to lead the team at The Gables.
About Me:
Outside of work, I have many interests but particularly enjoy learning Ballroom and Latin dancing, cooking and gardening. I love to socialise and enjoy nothing more than putting my cooking skills to use and feeding large numbers of family and friends.

What I do:
I am proud to join The Gables team as Deputy Manager of this stunning care home in Hagley.
My experience:
I started my journey off in the care sector back in 1998 I started off as a health care assistant working in various care homes and was a personal assistant for a while until I fell pregnant with my oldest child. I completed my NVQ 2 and 3 in health care and continued to progress in various roles again within the care homes I became a senior carer in 2003 and then moved to community care once I had passed my driving test. I became a team leader in the community and then a medication technician in 2008. I then made the brave decision to do my nursing training back in 2009 and qualified as a general adult nurse in 2012. I always felt my goal in life was to provide the best possible care to anyone who I looked after. The feeling that I can help somebody made it my passion.
About me:
I am enthusiastic, ambitious, loyal, and hard working. I am a family woman with 5 (yes 5) children, 1 granddaughter and a husband who I married in 2011 whilst doing my nurse training, I love animals and have a British/American bulldog called Marley and 2 cats Loki and Luna (who are my fur babies). I enjoy watching I’m a celebrity and Britain’s got talent. I am also a dab hand at cross stitch but can’t sew (lol). I really enjoy going out on family days out but also love it when I can out with our adult family and friends and let our hair down.

Home Admissions Advisor
What I do:
I am the Home Admissions Advisor at Parkfield Grange Care Home, and joined the team in December 2022. My role within the home is to work with families and the local community by supporting people on their care journey and helping them understand the process of what finding good care is. This is a role that I absolutely love and I really enjoy being able to meet so many new people and helping them as much as I can.
My experience:
I have worked in the care sector for 8 years, I started my care career with a home care provider as a Live-in care coordinator and progressed through to Business Development and Customer Liaison Manager. This role really expanded my care and clinical knowledge by allowing me to support people with a variety of needs. After roughly 2 and a half years working in Home Care, I transitioned to working in residential care and since having done so, I have worked all over the West Midlands supporting Residential, Dementia and Nursing Care – this has left me with a true passion for Dementia care.
About me:
Outside of work, I am a girlfriend and mother to a very cheeky little girl and a boisterous Jack Russell. I enjoy going to the gym and am part of an all female weight lighting group, this is something that has really highlighted the importance of good physical and mental health for me. When I’m not being mum or in the gym, I love a good book or quietly colouring.
