General Manager
What I do:
I have managed both Nursing and Residential homes, large and small over the years and always have the Residents wellbeing and happiness at the heart of everything I do. What makes a good manager, a super team and I have had the pleasure of working with some of the best in the business and will continue to do so at Sunnybank House.
My Experience:
I have worked in the care sector for over 20 years starting out as a health care assistant in residential dementia care homes, and through pure dedication, I eventually worked my way up to becoming a General Manager. Prior to working in care, I part qualified as an accountant (MAAT) and my background had always been in finance/accounting. However, there was a lack of job satisfaction, and after changing career to Health & Social Care, I have never looked back
About Me:
When I am not in the home, I am usually enjoying myself with my family back in Wales or arranging fun weekends away with my grandchildren.
Southampton has been a place I have visited since a child and most recently, with the grandchildren. To now be living in Southampton and be a part of the wonderful team at Sunnybank House, I consider myself to be very lucky!

What I do:
I studied nursing in Greece, and I volunteered as a nurse in various major events like the super marathon in Sparta, the Spartathlon. After my graduation I worked as a volunteer at a solidarity clinic for a year until I decided to come to the UK in 2014.
My experience:
Since then, I have worked in various Nursing Homes as staff Nurse, clinical lead and Deputy Manager. I was delighted to join Sunnybank house and start my career with Cinnamon Care.
About me:
Outside of work I keep a busy life exploring new hobbies and activities. Some of my interests include dancing, painting and cooking.

I have extensive training in looking after those who live with Dementia, I currently hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care and am now working hard to complete my Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I have a passion in developing staff members to meet their full potential and providing support to them as they need.
My Experience:
I’ve worked within the Care Sector for the last 10 years, initially working within Domiciliary settings and then moved into Care Homes around 8 years ago. I have previously worked with Residential and Dementia service users, supporting them emotionally and physically. My children are my drive to ensure I continue to progress with my knowledge and also within my career.
About Me:
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my young family and Husband. I enjoy baking, eating out and seeing my friends when not at work. I also enjoy going down to Devon when possible to see my family.

What I do:
I joined Cinnamon in November 2017. In my role I help to support families through the transition into residential care. Choosing the right care can be a difficult decision for all involved, but my job is to help this process run as smoothly as possible by guiding our new residents and their family members through this life changing move with support, great understanding and empathy.
My experience:
I started my career in care in 2002 working as a domiciliary carer looking after elderly people in their own homes in the local community and a few years later becoming the Office Manager. After a break to raise my family and help with the family business I feel so lucky to have come back to a job doing the things I am passionate about.
About me:
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my friends and family, my two young daughters keep me very busy. I enjoy shopping, going to cinema and eating out. I am a real foodie so I also enjoy cooking and throwing dinner parties.

What I do:
I am conscience about keeping Sunnybank House well maintained and safe for our Residents. There are a lot of hidden checks and Statutory inspections that I like to keep up to date. The most satisfying part is helping the residents with making their rooms personal to them whether being hanging pictures or organising their room to their liking. Having worked at Sunnybank for 7 years all the residents know me well and I have a great relationship with all of them.
My Experience:
I worked in the construction industry for 30 years and found experience gained invaluable in my current role. I was the first employee at Sunnybank House and was responsible for overseeing the handover of the building in 2014.
About Me:
I like watching my local premier league and cricket teams live and attending concerts. My two daughters and dog keep me busy.
We’d love to meet you!
