Our dedicated care starts with a thorough understanding of every resident and their individual needs. Each person has a personalised Individual Care Plan which follows them during their stay at Mornington Court. This provides a flexible roadmap on the level of care and support they require as well as providing an intimate understanding of what they like, their hobbies and interests and what they enjoy in order to lead a full and enriched life. As each resident’s needs change so too does their care plan, which evolves to provide a tailored approach to the care they receive.

Residential Care

Our care team collaborate with a wider body of healthcare professionals including GPs, chiropodists, podiatrists, dentists, along with district nurses who all work together to ensure the complete wellbeing of all our residents.
Dementia Care
At Mornington Court care home, we understand that every person living with dementia is unique and that nobody’s dementia is the same. Everything about our dementia care is centered entirely around the individual and tailored around their specific needs.
By building meaningful relations with our residents our dementia care team get to learn more about the ‘whole’ person, their likes and interests. Our external partners are thoroughly involved in the careful architecture, design and build of our dementia care home. To create the very best ‘dementia-friendly environment’ all our partners participate in the latest training to help understand what it is like to live with dementia.
Each area features bold signage with vivid and contrasting colours to help residents with ‘way-finding. Whilst curious objects of interest and memorabilia located in specific areas serve as location markers, helping residents to navigate around the care community.
Our dementia home
Mornington Court care home is designed in such a way to feel welcoming and encompassing, and to provide a real home from home experience. Tailored activities planned by the dementia care team provide mental and physical stimulation such as group crafts sessions, armchair yoga exercises, outdoor concerts and events, plus individual activities based around personal interests. Each is designed to include the ‘whole person’, be meaningful to our resident and to serve as an antidote to distress and anxiety as well as unlocking fond memories and providing purpose.
Respite Care
Being able to take a well-earned break from looking after a loved one is important, especially when you need to re-energise and recover yourself. At Mornington Court we offer short-term respite care to take care of a family member whilst you take that all-important break.
Our short stays are flexible and are based entirely around the needs of our resident. They serve as a perfect opportunity to experience the comfort of our luxury care home before choosing to move in permanently.
