At Leah Lodge you’ll find only the very best care 24 hours a day, with one-to-one support that is filled with compassion. It all starts with a full understanding of the ‘whole’ individual, knowing their care needs and getting to know them as a person, their hobbies and interests.
For those seeking assisted living, residential care, or dementia care our highly trained team offer first-class support that is tailored to each resident’s unique needs. And with our ‘trial-stays’ or respite care breaks, a short stay at Leah Lodge presents the perfect opportunity to experience first hand the exemplary care we offer, whilst allowing family members to take a well-earned break.
Moving into our residential care home starts with a thorough ‘get-to-know-you’ stage, that often involves family and relatives, as well GPs and healthcare workers. This allows us to understand each person’s specific care requirements to create a flexible care plan that evolves as each resident’s needs change.
Every day at Leah Lodge is filled with fun activities and pursuits that encourage group participation and provide a sense of achievement. Each programme is carefully designed to reflect personal interests and hobbies, whilst introducing new activities for residents to explore.
In our dedicated dementia community we understand that nobody’s dementia is the same and each person is affected in a non-identical way. Every person with dementia shows different symptoms and in turn expresses those symptoms very differently. The dedicated care provided in our community hinges on a thorough understanding of the ‘whole’ person, their unique behaviour and personality, and their likes and dislikes.
Our excellent dementia care team build trusting relationships with residents to share personal interests, favourite pastimes whilst reminiscing over cherished memories. In doing so we unlock fond thoughts from the past whilst building a sense of companionship.

Our dedicated dementia community
Our dementia community is a place where each resident is made to feel welcome and unique. It is a special place where everything is about creating a dementia-friendly environment which is supported by the very best care 24-hours a day.
Each area features clear signage and ‘landmark’ objects that serve as location markers to help residents identify where they are, and in doing so, guides them around their home. You will also find special areas around our community that feature their own theme such as the music corner. These help residents connect distant memories that can often become fragmented and confused with events from the past.
Our dementia home
Our remodeled, boutique care home is specially designed to provide a caring and supportive environment for residents who have a form of dementia. The stylish décor and layout is underpinned by attention to detail, and the impact this has on each of our residents. Each area is planned carefully to feel welcoming and to provide a comforting home from home feeling.
At Leah Lodge our respite care gives carers and family members an opportunity to take a well-earned break knowing their loved one is in a safe and caring environment. Our flexible short-stays are perfect to suit individual needs, as well as to experience our delightful care home before choosing to move in permanently.
We’d love to meet you!
