Set in the traditional village of Lyndhurst in Hampshire, our luxurious, characterful care home occupies one of the loveliest locations in the New Forest. The charming school house that is the centre of Hartwood’s extended renovation retains its proportions and charm, and its stunning stained glass windows.
In addition to 50 en-suite rooms, residents and their guests can enjoy four lounges including a sun lounge, library, and garden room, and sample our delicious menu of seasonal, home-cooked food in the sociable surroundings of three dining areas.
There’s a hairdressing salon if you feel like being pampered, and a flourishing vegetable patch in our beautiful gardens where green-fingered residents can pursue their passion for horticulture.
Having our own transport opens up opportunities for days out to the many local attractions in and around the New Forest. Whether it’s a cruise on the Hythe ferry, a relaxing potter around Exbury Gardens, a visit to the local petting farm, or a quiet cup of tea down in the village, every single trip – spontaneous or planned – is arranged to keep our residents feeling stimulated, connected and happy.
There are always friendly new faces at Hartwood House, whether they’re in the spacious lounges or our lovely gardens. Everything we do is open to the community around us, from a community coffee morning in our rose garden or a visiting volunteer arranging painting classes, the list is endless…
Some things you just need to see to believe. Discover the difference for yourself – come and visit Hartwood House today. We’d love to meet you.
