I have been working as a registered nurse for the past 11 years. I worked with Oxleas NHS Trust and was part of the team which opened the Day Treatment Team. Though I was newly qualified within the team, my passion for care enabled me to excel to become the Well Being Clinic Lead where I championed the physical health needs of people with enduring mental health needs. My passion to care for others shone through my work and I was nominated for the nurse of the year award in 2009 within Oxleas NHS Trust.
I am passionate about elderly care and have been working in the care home sector for the past 4 years. To see smiles on the faces of the elderly people that I care for is what I enjoy about my work.
