We’d like to introduce our friendly Earlsfield Court team who are determined to be the difference in senior care.
What I do:
Dear Visitor! I would like to welcome you to my lovely Care Home Earlsfield Court in Bexhill-on- Sea. It is a privilege to be the first general manager of this new care home run by Cinnamon Care Collection in East Sussex. I am aiming to lead Earlsfield Court to become the home of first choice for residential and residential dementia care. I believe that we will earn respect in our local community for the way how we care as we call ourselves care home like no other.
My professional background is nursing, teaching and coaching which lead me to long term career of general manager in social care for over 15 years. My passion for nursing began 33 years ago. From that time, I started to recognise that if I would develop myself and study more, I can become a leader who will be able to help more people who need love and care because of their medical condition. At the same time, I learned that being in charge and working with a team of people who choose to share my passion I can also support them by sharing my knowledge and experience. I believe my role is to lead by example which means kindness, respect and professional approach to all the situations which can happen in everyday care home life.
Love and serve. This sentence has been my motto since the beginning of my career. I am a very positive person who likes travelling around the world and learning different cultures and languages. I am the admirer of Jane Austen literature and classical music lover. I consider myself being the achiever, not only a dreamer.
I am a mental health nurse and have been working in care homes since 2009. During this time I have developed a real passion for dementia care.
I believe that as a team we should focus on what our residents are still able to do in order to promote independence and support them to maintain their lifestyle-moving to a care home is such a huge life change and our aim is to support our residents through this and ensure they feel safe and cared for whilst continuing to experience real enjoyment and quality of life.
Every resident is an individual and has their own story to tell, we will listen to each story and use that to help us provide truly person-centred care.
Kindness, compassion and empathy are at the heart of our team and help us to make a real difference to the lives of our residents.
I enjoy reading, visiting zoos and animal sanctuaries, catching up with friends and have a Border Terrier called Nelly Noodles.
Home Admissions Advisor
What do I do:
My role is to welcome people into our beautiful home and help them through what is often a very emotional time of their life; choosing a care environment for themselves or a family member. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Cinnamon Care Collection team, working with such passionate and dedicated people who want to make a real difference to our residents’ lives. Everything we do is about getting the little things right for our residents, so they are safe and have the greatest quality of life for their time.
I have been working in the care sector for over 10 years, initially as an office manager and then for the last six years as a home admission adviser for another care provider. After working as a tax adviser and then owning my own jewellery business, I feel I have finally found my niche and I love working in this role.
I met my husband when I was sixteen. We have been married for 30 years now and have three grown up children. I am very lucky to have such a fantastic family and a great circle of friends with whom I enjoy socialising. In my spare time I enjoy running, yoga, going to the gym and generally keeping fit however my main passion is golf – I just can’t get enough of it!
What I do:
As the head chef at Earlsfield Court I work closely and take the time to get to know our residents and their families to achieve nutritionally balanced meals to suit their needs and likes. With my passionate team we cater with the best quality seasonal ingredients to provide the best quality food for our residents and families.
I have over 18 years’ experience as a professional chef, working in fine dining and in large catering establishments. I am an award winning chef, winning gold at world skills competitions reaching the finals coming in the top 10 young chefs in the country.
I love to cook and host meals for family and friends. I am very family orientated and enjoy spending time socialising and I particularly enjoy going to the cinema.
